Albert’s Bar

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Architect: Parts & Labor NYC
  • Project Completion: 2023
  • Photographer: Jonathan Pilkington

This small New York City pub caters to anyone looking for a place to relax. With an energy that toes the line between retro and contemporary, this project called for a careful balance of lighting design solutions. Pin spotting on tables throughout the space gives pops of light, while the main bar serves as the central focus, with cove downlighting on the bar stools and a large, uplit cove above the bar – all coming together to highlight the warm wood tones of the architecture. Finally, we incorporated intricate shelf lighting behind the main bar, as well as on the more intimate mezzanine level, highlighting both bars’ liquor selections and adding luxurious flare to the otherwise soft and comfortable space.
