The interior of Molson Coors’ Chicago headquarters is a one-of-a-kind experience in balanced design. Through considerate design and careful integration, our team illuminated the workplace with a variety of unique fixtures, creative lighting strategies, and mood-setting color temperatures. Visible throughout the space, a suspended acoustical panel system features a custom curved linear fixture, which we installed through a delicate collaborative process. More hospitality-focused zones, such as the bar, offer seating within a warm glow, with sconces held in bespoke GGLD-designed wall brackets for an upscale experience. Images on the soaring wall of the feature stairwell are lit with complex layers of lighting, which required comprehensive mock-ups to perfect before installation. In a large-scale mechanical undertaking, the GGLD team built out a custom suspended Unistrut system with integrated fixtures for the open-plan office. Conference rooms feature engaging touches, such as back-lit panels with adjustable local controls. The result of this thoughtful attention to detail and enthusiastic collaboration with the architect and client is a workplace that’s equal parts corporate comfort and enthusiastic brand representation.
