Our design for this enormous, open-plan office centers on the balance of many juxtaposing elements. While linear and cove lighting warms the wood of the ceiling baffles, the washed walls and polished concrete floors lend a more professional, industrial energy to the space. Giant acoustical decorative pendants blend with the soft furniture, while contrasting double-height pendants near the entrance offer a regal welcome to incoming employees. Many of the walls are textured, and some even feature greenery. We lit these vertical surfaces with tight grazing, bringing out the diverse materiality of the office.
