One of the original buildings in Chicago’s popular Fulton Market, this corporate space sports an industrial interior, with concrete ceilings and a striking wall of exposed brick just inside its entryway. We lit this entry in the style of an art gallery, installing track lights down the huge brick wall in addition to uplighting, showcasing the double-height murals illuminated by large skylights above. By hanging strings of lights in arcs across the soaring space, we celebrated the structure of the trusses overhead. In another nod to the building’s industrial decor, the metal walls of the elevator lobby are brought into focus through top and bottom light shining from behind textured panels. One long pendant leads through this elevator lobby, eventually converging with linear, criss-crossing fixtures that hang in the adjacent seating area.
