This building is considered one of the most desired workplaces in Chicago for its comprehensive amenities, expansive downtown views, and abundant natural light. In designing lighting for the space, we aimed to create a range of atmospheres, from lounge spaces with a soft, residential feel, to the fitness area and conference rooms with their bolder, brighter elements. All fixtures utilize LED lighting with daylight harvesting and a full-scale dimming system to provide flexibility, comfort, and energy-efficient design. Standout elements of our design include a large, custom LED fixture that creates a dramatic starfield effect by suspending glowing glass from the ceiling, as well as the back-lit metal wall in the fitness center, which glows with illuminated LED sheets. We used appealing decorative pendants and soft grazes throughout the building, providing a refreshing balance of warmth and brilliance for all who enter.
